Momentum Swinging Upwards

December 20, 2009

Hard to beat a guy who raises money like this...

Despite a week where a staffer resigned because of damaging images, the Rand Campaign has caught wind of even more positive momentum. It appears the image will have even a smaller impact than I thought, as Political Scientists from the University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville both dismissed the recent developments as trivial.

But that didn’t stop the campaign from having a positive week. The campaign raised over 300,000 dollars and Rand is getting attention from the National Media, including CQ Politics and the Glenn Beck show, where he received positive feedback from Judge Napolitano, who brought up a good point– Rand’s leading in the polls and dominating with raising money, so why is the Republican Party supporting the other guy?

It was an important week for Rand as he took more major steps toward victory. And don’t expect that to change anytime soon. Although they may have some minor speed-bumps along the way, this is still the hardest working campaign there is–and don’t expect that to change anytime soon.

  1. Tease released today by PPPoll,

“Rand Paul is up 54-18 on Trey Grayson with people who think the GOP in Congress is too liberal.”

Full results to be posted on Tusday & Wednesday.

  2. If the majority of Republicans in Kentucky are conservative and think that the GOP in Congress is too liberal, then Rand Paul is doing very well. More than 50% of conservatives prefer Rand Paul over Trey Grayson.

Yes, no doubt polls are looking good. I just feel like everything is swinging in Rand’s direction: a more well-run campaign, positive media, polling, a raging tea-party movement that’s supporting him….yes, I think it’s safe to say Rand is the leader of this race now.
