Merry Christmas!

December 25, 2009

As the day we’ve all been waiting for is finally upon us, I wanted to take this opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas. This is no doubt a bleak time in our history–with a horrible recession, massive debt and healthcare reform on the verge of becoming law. However, let’s all take this day to forget about our problems and just enjoy life. In the midst of all this partisan bickering and campaign attacks, let’s all remember that there is more than unites us than divides us. We all have much to be Thankful for and I hope we won’t forget that around Christmas time.

However, make no mistake that once the time passes, we will be back on the front lines. Let’s make it our New Years Resolution to bring Real Change to Washington. Many have tried, almost all have failed. But we can do it. In 2010, a movement is sweeping through the nation that gives us the opportunity. Which is why I hope you’ll stand by me in supporting Dr. Rand Paul for Senate in Kentucky.

Now my political spill is over. Go and enjoy the Holiday’s with your family. And don’t forget the reason it’s “Merry Christmas” and not “Happy Holidays”.

8And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ[a] the Lord.12This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

13Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
14“Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.”

–Luke 2:8–14
